William Kuloloia
William “Bill” John Kuloloia, 70, of Pahoa died April 30, 2014, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept. 17, 1943, in Honolulu, he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operating Engineers Union.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. May 16 at the Ainaloa Longhouse for a service.
He is survived by sons, John-Michael Kuloloia, James Kuloloia both of Pahoa; sisters, Leona (David) Tagupa of Las Vegas, Eloise (Jerry) Umiamaka of Kaneohe, Oahu; brother, Douglas (Gail) Kuloloia of Las Vegas.
Mitsue Morishita
Mitsue Morishita, 94, of Pepeekeo died March 16, 2014, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Sept. 7, 1919, in Kapehu, she was a homemaker and a member of Honomu Henjoji Mission (Odaishisan).
Private services were held. Family requests monetary gifts and flowers be omitted.
She is survived by sons, Gary Morishita of Pepeekeo, Rudy (Carol) Morishita of Kaneohe, Oahu; sisters, Shizuko Sumiye of Pepeekeo, Kiyoko Sugiyama of Laupahoehoe, Hideko Horiuchi of Hilo; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Robert Leannarda
Robert Shannon Leannarda, 52, of Kailua-Kona died April 25, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Cheverly, Md., he was self employed.

He is survived by mother, Sara-Michael Thomas of Frederick, Md.; sisters, Michael (Matt Dini) Leannarda-Dini of Santa Cruz, Calif., Robyn (Marty) Hildebrand of Frederick, Md.; two nephews and two nieces.

Tamio Kunihiro, 80, of Hilo died April 18, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 2, 1934, in Hilo, he was retired from Queen’s Medical Center and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by brother, Jerry Kunihiro of Hilo; sisters, Gladys (Thomas) Tone of Oahu, Sachiko (Del) Gun Salus of Las Vegas; hanai sons, Jesse (Charis) Parinas, Anthony Parinas, Eugene (Chung) Parinas, Roderick (Roseman) Parinas, Sesario Parinas; hanai daughters, Ciarra-Lynn Parinas, Aline Parinas; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Dorothy Gutierres
Dorothy Solis Gutierres, 97, of Mountain View died April 18, 2014, at her home. Born Oct. 30, 1916, in Kohala, she worked for Dole Pineapple Co. and was a cook and a baker for the Department of Education.

Nancy Colella
Nancy Rosalia Martire Colella, 74, of South Kohala and also of Los Altos, Calif., died April 10, 2014, at her Big Island home. Born May 2, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was a homemaker, and an active community volunteer. She was also a former Kappa Alpha Theta member and she founded a group known as The Katpak and was honored with the position of Katpak 1.
A private service was held in California.
She is survived by husband, Samuel Colella of South Kohala and Los Altos, Calif.; son, Mark (Breanne) Colella of Los Altos, Calif.; daughters, Julia (David Carver) Colella Carver of Woodside, Calif., Dana (Daniel Clevenger) Colella Clevenger of Los Altos, Calif., Michele (Tyler Sloat) Colella Sloat of San Mateo, Calif.; sisters, Jeanette Sahi of San Francisco, Calif., Louise Martire of Bend, Ore.; brother, Louis Martire of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Boone
Elizabeth Jean “Jeannie” Boone, 87, of Kona and Kapoho died April 27, 2014, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Oct. 24, 1926, in Ripley, N.Y., she was a retired bed and breakfast innkeeper and a weaver.

She is survived by son, Bruce Wertz; hanai daughters, Pam Spencer, Maryna Allan; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
